Angela Bradley

Social Enterprise & Philanthropy

Angela is the Social Enterprise & Philanthropy at Community Living Toronto. She has been involved with the charitable sector both personally and professionally for most of her life. Since graduating with an Honours degree in psychology from Queen’s University, has completed post-graduate work at York University in not-for profit management and is a degree seeking student in the MBA program of the School of Business and Non-profit Management at North Park University.

Muhammed Irshad

Camp Director

Muhammed has been with Community Living Toronto for over 30 years, going all the way back to when he worked three summers at Shadow Lake in 1987, 1988 and 1989. After graduating from the Humber College Developmental Services Worker (DSW) program in 1991, Muhammed started working full time with Community Living Toronto. He has since supervised and managed both residential and day support programs. Muhammed was the Manager of Shadow Lake Centre for five years before becoming the Camp Director in the summer of 2021.

Marisa Grasse

Property Manager

Marisa has been overseeing the property and facilities at Shadow Lake since 2001. She is responsible for ensuring that all buildings are clean and in good working order, the management of all new building projects, and meeting all health and safety requirements. Marisa comes from a landscaping background and is certified in the Operation of Small Drinking Water Systems. Previous employers include the Children’s Aid Society and Black Creek Pioneer Village.

Sara Khanji

Temporary Camp Supervisor

Sara began her journey “at the lake” in 2022 as a Healthcare Team member. In 2023, she had the opportunity to lead an amazing team as Healthcare Coordinator while aspiring to become a medical student. By 2025, Sara stepped into the role of Camp Supervisor, bringing passion, leadership, and a deep love for our community.
Being part of a close-knit community like Shadow Lake has been a thrilling and rewarding experience for her. She enjoys playing table tennis and loves to travel, having visited over 20 countries so far! Her favorite part of camp is connecting with guests and working in a role that aligns with her passions.

Kyra Maher

Program Coordinator

Summer 2024 is Kyra's fourth year working at Shadow Lake Centre. Back in 2021, Kyra started working as a counsellor and worked her way up to being a Program Coordinator this summer. As a result of her experience at Shadow Lake Centre, Kyra is currently enrolled in her master's program studying Applied Behaviour Analysis. With a passion for community, inclusivity and understanding behaviour on a deeper level, Kyra is grateful to be returning to camp and making more fantastic memories!

Charlotte Summerhayes

Counselling Coordinator

Charlotte is thrilled to return for her fourth summer at Shadow Lake Centre. Since joining the Shadow Lake team in 2021 as a counsellor and advancing to a healthcare role in 2023, camp has become a most cherished part of her life. She is excited to now step into the role of Counselling Coordinator for Summer 2024. Charlotte values the deep connections and friendships she has formed at camp, and she is dedicated to creating more memorable experiences with both old and new friends this summer!

Dieter Alvarenga

Communication Coordinator

Since joining Shadow Lake Centre in 2020, Dieter’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. As an international student from Brazil, he began as a Camp Counselor, discovering a world of new experiences, love, and acceptance at camp. His growth continued as he took on the role of Counselling Coordinator in 2021, followed by the dual responsibilities of Healthcare and Communication Coordinator in Summer 2022, where he applied his pharmacy degree, biotechnology diploma, and passion for creativity and the arts.
Dieter thrives in fostering an inclusive, caring, and creatively engaging environment—just like a big family. With his infectious love for dance, he spreads joy, creates magical moments, and brightens every day with his radiant smile.
