Embrace a new dimension of the great outdoors with Shadow Lake Centre Year-Round program from September to April. Unlike the typical summer camp, our program extends the magic of camping into the heartier seasons of fall, winter, and spring. From the rustling of crisp autumn leaves to the serenity of snow-covered landscapes, each program serves as a unique getaway, offering a distinct backdrop for creating memories that last a lifetime.

A Day At Shadow Lake is perfect for those craving a burst of outdoor fun without the overnight commitment. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., you'll dive into a full day packed with activities that capture the unique charm of each season. Whether it's a brisk hike through the woods, an exhilarating round of tobogganing, or a creative nature-based craft session, there’s something for everyone.

Join us for a day filled with laughter, adventure, and the chance to make new friends in a stunning natural setting. With a small group of participants and 2-3 dedicated SLC staff, every Day At Shadow Lake feels like a mini retreat into nature. Individuals who require their own personal support staff are more than welcome to bring them along to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Join us at SLC Weekend, where you'll escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of nature. Each weekend kicks off on Friday and wraps up Sunday, offering you a cozy, intimate experience with up to 10 fellow campers and 3 dedicated staff members.

Warm up by the campfire, share stories under the stars, and indulge in seasonal activities that could include snowshoeing through powdery trails, tobogganing down scenic hills, or simply taking in the crisp, fresh air. It's not just a break—it's a weekend that revitalizes your spirit and reconnects you with the great outdoors.

Why limit the fun to just a weekend? Our SLC Week-long program takes you on a 5-day adventure
where you'll dive deep into the wonders of Shadow Lake Centre. Kick off your week on Monday
and immerse yourself in a week of friendship and activities, as you and your group dive into the
seasonal delights our camp has to offer.

Whether you're whipping up delicious treats in cooking sessions, getting creative with arts and crafts, hiking through scenic trails, watching movies with friends, or diving into themed activities, each day is filled with opportunities to connect, grow, and create lasting memories. This isn’t just a camp—it’s a week-long journey into the heart of nature and friendship.

Winter Week-long Camp, 2024

WHAT HAS CHANGED AFTER COVID-19?

Shadow Lake Centre remains committed to prioritizing the health and safety of all guests and staff. Updated COVID-19 safety measures have been implemented based on the latest Ontario Public Health guidelines for 2025, ensuring all properties on camp adhere to these protocols.

What Can You Expect This Summer?

COVID-19 Safety Measures:

  • Adherence to current public health guidelines with robust prevention controls.

Vaccination Policy:

  • COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged for all eligible participants and staff.

  • While vaccine mandates are no longer in place, staying up-to-date with vaccinations, including boosters, is strongly recommended to reduce virus transmission.

Camp Capacity and Support Levels:

  • Operating at 70% of maximum capacity.

  • Accepting all support levels to ensure campers of all needs can participate safely.

Check-In and Check-Out:

  • Conducted outdoors at Crystal Place or in the Barn to minimize indoor congregation and ensure proper ventilation.

Mealtimes:

  • Seating by cabin or matchup group, with ample spacing between tables.

  • Food served by designated staff to minimize contact.

  • Continued emphasis on hygiene practices, such as hand washing or sanitizing before meals.

Activity Programs:

  • Larger group activities are back, with outdoor programs prioritized.

  • Indoor activities will ensure proper ventilation.

Beach Access:

  • Open to all guests simultaneously, with frequent disinfection of equipment like boats and paddles throughout the day.

Bathroom and Shower Facilities:

  • Physical distancing is encouraged in shared bathrooms when possible.

  • Regular cleaning and disinfection by staff, with supplies available for ongoing sanitation.

Enhanced Cleaning Protocols:

  • Additional maintenance staff to disinfect high-touch surfaces throughout the day.

  • Cleaning supplies are provided in each cabin for staff to maintain sanitized spaces.

  • Thorough cleaning of shared spaces, including dining areas, activity spaces, and washrooms.
