Experience the Magic of Summer at Shadow Lake Centre!
At Shadow Lake Centre, our Summer Camp is more than just a getaway—it's a vibrant, inclusive community where individuals with intellectual disabilities can explore, grow, and create lifelong memories. For 12 unforgettable weeks, from June through August, campers embark on a journey filled with diverse activities and endless fun, all within a safe and supportive environment.
Each week, Shadow Lake introduces a new theme, ensuring no two experiences are the same. From Sunday to Saturday, campers enjoy various indoor and outdoor activities designed to inspire independence, build friendships, and foster a love for adventure. Imagine the joy of a morning driveway walk, the thrill of a hike through nature, the refreshing splash of a lake swim, or the serenity of a pontoon boat and canoe ride. Evenings come alive with the classic campfires, dance parties, and our always-anticipated talent show—where every camper gets a chance to shine.
Our dedicated staff is the heart of Shadow Lake, providing 24-hour care and support to ensure that each camper feels safe, valued, and empowered. With their unwavering commitment, our campers are free to explore new activities, take on challenges, and celebrate their individuality in an environment that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusivity.

2) Search for “Shadow Lake” 🏕️
3) Choose your program and date
4) Add to the Cart
5) Select the camper name
6) Choose a t-shirt size (YESSSS, THEY WILL GET A CAMP SHIRT!!! YEYYY! 🎉)
7) Confirm the fees
8) Checkout
9) Pack your bags, see you at the Lake! 🧳🎒🗺️

WHAT HAS CHANGED AFTER COVID-19?
Shadow Lake Centre remains committed to prioritizing the health and safety of all guests and staff. Updated COVID-19 safety measures have been implemented based on the latest Ontario Public Health guidelines for 2025, ensuring all properties on camp adhere to these protocols.
What Can You Expect This Summer?
COVID-19 Safety Measures:
Adherence to current public health guidelines with robust prevention controls.
Vaccination Policy:
COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged for all eligible participants and staff.
While vaccine mandates are no longer in place, staying up-to-date with vaccinations, including boosters, is strongly recommended to reduce virus transmission.
Camp Capacity and Support Levels:
Operating at 70% of maximum capacity.
Accepting all support levels to ensure campers of all needs can participate safely.
Check-In and Check-Out:
Conducted outdoors at Crystal Place or in the Barn to minimize indoor congregation and ensure proper ventilation.
Mealtimes:
Seating by cabin or matchup group, with ample spacing between tables.
Food served by designated staff to minimize contact.
Continued emphasis on hygiene practices, such as hand washing or sanitizing before meals.
Activity Programs:
Larger group activities are back, with outdoor programs prioritized.
Indoor activities will ensure proper ventilation.
Beach Access:
Open to all guests simultaneously, with frequent disinfection of equipment like boats and paddles throughout the day.
Bathroom and Shower Facilities:
Physical distancing is encouraged in shared bathrooms when possible.
Regular cleaning and disinfection by staff, with supplies available for ongoing sanitation.
Enhanced Cleaning Protocols:
Additional maintenance staff to disinfect high-touch surfaces throughout the day.
Cleaning supplies are provided in each cabin for staff to maintain sanitized spaces.
Thorough cleaning of shared spaces, including dining areas, activity spaces, and washrooms.
